Multiple award-winning actress Kemi “Lala” Akindoju has joined Amazon Studios, an American television and film distributor, as the Nigerian Senior Movies Creative Executive.
According to BellaNaija, this was announced by Ned Mitchell, the Amazon Head of Originals, Africa and the Middle East, on his Linkedin page. He further announced three other new executives who will expand the vision of Amazon Studios in Africa.
They are Kaye Ann Williams, Brendan Gabriel and Mike-Steve Adeleye. All four new executives shall work with Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu on the Amazon Studios Originals development team. Ms Akindoju’s role shall include serving as the point executive on multiple original movie projects from pitch to production. She would also evaluate proposals and provide feedback on scripts and production plans, and budgets.
