Bukky Ojeifo Declared New Twitter’s Global Head of Culture and Community

Bukky Ojeifo has replaced God-is Rivera as Twitter’s worldwide head of culture and community. The social media giant revealed in an exclusive statement that Ojeifo has been instrumental in some of its most significant cultural events and efforts since 2019.

The Nigerian-American marketing guru has been promoted to ensure that the company’s purpose of catering to the wide range of people who participate in the public conversation on Twitter is maintained.

Twitter’s Global Head of Brand Experiences and Engagement, Nola Weinstein, has praised Ojeifo for her contributions to the company’s thriving culture and community.

“I’m excited for this work to continue under Bukky’s leadership. She has been key to the success of the Culture and Community team and a passionate, creative, strategic powerhouse from the start. Bukky is the voice of the Voices – an intentional community builder and fierce advocate who strives to elevate and uplift in everything she does,” she said.

Ojeifo’s initial position at the company was senior manager, global culture and community. She oversaw Twitter’s efforts to reach out to and amplify voices from marginalised groups.

Ojeifo has worked in community development and cultural promotion for over ten years. Recently, she has been in charge of a cultural strategy for how Twitter is presented to users in worldwide markets, with a particular emphasis on Ghana, where the company is expanding its footprint and setting up a new headquarters.
