Florida Woman Stabs Sister To Death For Flirting With Her Boyfriend

A 21-year-old Florida lady has been charged with first-degree murder for stabbing her sister to death after discovering that her sister had been flirting with her boyfriend.

According to local accounts, on September 26, around 4:30 a.m., Fatiha Marzan murdered her sister, Sayma Marzan, 20. The murder took place in the bedroom the sisters shared at the family’s Orlando home. After learning that her boyfriend had told Sayma he loved her, she allegedly decided to kill her.

Investigators said she bought a “dagger style knife set” on Amazon just two weeks before the murder. The Orlando Sentinel reported on Wednesday that Fatiha had recently discovered that her sister and long-distance lover of five years had been flirting with one another via messages exchanged while playing a video game.

She allegedly went into the room she and her sister shared and stabbed her sister three or four times in the heart. At 7:30 pm, Fatiha made a 911 call in which she admitted stabbing her sister. After responding, deputies discovered Sayma dead inside the house. Authorities said Fatiha admitted to stabbing Sayma multiple times, including in the heart.

Fatiha Marzan reported contemplating suicide many hours after the stabbing, but her family talked her out. She was arrested and held without bond at the Orange County Jail.
