Stanbic IBTC Holdings Names Nwuneli Independent Non-Executive Director

Following the receipt of the necessary regulatory approvals, the board of directors of Stanbic IBTC Holdings nominated Ms Ndidi Nwuneli as an Independent Non-executive Director.
The fields of social innovation, agriculture, nutrition, and youth development are ones in which Ms Nwuneli excels.
She has worked in international development for over 25 years and is a successful businesswoman, writer, and consultant. She was the first Executive Director of the FATE Foundation, which helps young business owners get their ventures off the ground and growing.
The Harvard Business School Alumni Achievement Award (2021), Forbes 20 Youngest Power Women in Africa (2011), and Forbes: 20 Youngest Power Women in Africa (2011) are just a few of the major continental and global awards that Nwuneli has received. She also serves on the boards of over seven organisations.
She founded LEAP Africa in 2002 intending to develop a new generation of principled, disciplined, and energetic African leaders.
Mrs Nwuneli has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Economics with high honours from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School.
She was a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School’s MossavarRahmani Center for Business & Government and a New Voices Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
Throughout her career, she has led the development and implementation of high-impact initiatives in the areas of policy, strategy, organisational design, ecosystem solutions, and expansion across the commercial, public, and non-profit spheres.
Ms Ngozi Edozien‘s time as an Independent Non-Executive Director has ended per regulatory requirements, hence the Company has announced her departure effective March 24, 2023.
